My Mother-My Life

Dear Mom,
I really have never said this to you, but today I want to. These are not just words mom, they are my feelings. As for me and you there has always been something unique in the relationship between us. You cover all the variations of a woman in my life. You are as diverse as a mother can be- a friend, guide, teacher, and philosopher. You are not just another woman. You are extraordinary and the most influential person in my life.
As it is said Like Mother, Like Daughter- it’s true for us. I remember people saying how I look just like you, which I take as a compliment because you are the most beautiful person in my life. When I was a child, you walked before me. When I was a teenager, you walked behind me and now as an adult you stand beside me, as my friend so that we can enjoy life together. And I know you’ll stand just hand in hand with me throughout my entire life. I am the face, but you are the neck who can turn me in the direction you want, which will always be the best for me.
I have learnt from you that giving is a lot harder than taking, but makes us feel happy when done. And you proved it right, because inspite of all these years of giving, you are happy. For you I would say My Mom-My Life. Love you.
