O MOTHER
Since thou departed on the path of heaven,
Thou art in my heart, O Mother, don’t run
Whenever come any obstacles in my life‐way,
Thou ever save me, thou art my sun‐ray!
Still I remember thy sweet ‐ kinder songs,
And for thy love and kisses my mind even longs!
Thou caress me, Thou fondle me and make me sleep,
My heart ever wishes and for thou I always weep!
Alas! They love isn’t, my luck, O Mother,
The more I grow, the more I am empty and I wither!
O MOTHER Where are you?
